AC EV charger safety inspections for workplaces
Documented safety and condition checks for businesses with AC EV chargepoints used by staff, fleets, tenants or visitors.
What we help you identify
- Damaged sockets, cables or tethered leads
- Signs of overheating, water ingress or deterioration
- Loose fixings, poor sealing or visible installation issues
- Basic functionality and access-control concerns
- Missing inspection evidence or unclear maintenance records
Many workplace EV chargers are installed, used, then forgotten
EV chargers are electrical assets. If they are exposed to weather, impact damage, repeated use or poor maintenance, faults can develop unnoticed. A documented inspection gives your facilities, fleet or property team a clear record of charger condition and next actions.
Check condition
We inspect the chargepoint, socket or tethered lead, enclosure, mounting, seals and signs of damage or deterioration.
Document findings
You receive a clear report with photos, observations, defects and recommended actions for each chargepoint inspected.
Plan remedials
Where issues are found, remedial works can be quoted separately by a competent electrical contractor.

Frequently asked questions
Is this only for AC chargers?
Yes. This service is focused on AC workplace chargepoints. DC rapid chargers are outside the current scope.
Is this the same as an EICR?
No. This is a chargepoint safety and condition check. A full EICR of the wider electrical installation is not included unless agreed separately.
Do you repair chargers during the visit?
Remedial works are quoted separately. This keeps the inspection clear and controlled.
How often should AC EV chargers be inspected?
The appropriate frequency depends on usage, environment, charger condition, manufacturer guidance and site risk. We provide a suggested future inspection interval based on the findings.
